This is my little kitten Saffran, which means Saffron in English. He is now 13 weeks old, and in a couple of weeks I will finally get to enjoy his company since I will move to Örebro and will then bring my oh so very much longed for little kitten. I found Saffran when I was surfing the net looking at different cat pages, everything from Maine Coon to Birma and Ragdoll. I clicked on some links and finally made it to The Swedish Cats Homepage, where I hadn't been before. In the headline "Cat Mediation" there were many things to look at and I found the category of semi-longhaired cats, which interested me the most. My eyes suddenly stopped at an advert for a little red tabby Maine Coon - and of course I thought of Saffran (the cat I knew would come to me sometime). I looked at the picture in the ad, visited the homepage and wrote a mail to see if he still was available. He was! So I called the breeder straight away and got to talk to a very enthusiastic and particular lady called Eva Jakobsson. She described the breed ingående and since my friend Helén is a breeder of Maine Coon I already had some knowledge about the breed, and by this I got more confirmation of this being the right breed for me. After looking at the photos on Eva's homepage I felt no hesitation, and I knew instantly that this was the Saffran I had been waiting for for almost two years.
